Primitive camping should feel adventurous, not careless. PCA-SU trips are planned around participant readiness, weather, terrain, gear, and clear expectations before anyone heads out.
Required forms

Gear expectations by level
Beginner: gaiters over modern footwear are acceptable; undergarments permitted; basic water container required; sun protection recommended.Intermediate: primitive sandals required; no modern undergarments; leather gear recommended; water bag and basic tools required.Expert: fuller primitive immersion with bow drill and obsidian knife skills; no modern shelter; self-sufficiency expected.
Before each event
Activity details, meeting location, timing, and required gear will be shared with confirmed participants.
Participants should be honest about medical concerns, outdoor experience, footwear, hydration, and comfort level.
Weather, terrain, and safety conditions may change the plan or cancel an outing.
